テレビショッピング

美容化粧品、健康器具、服飾雑貨、宝飾品、家電、日用品、健康食品、サプリメント、特産食材、加工食品、医薬品・・・。

深夜、ＢＳ放送はどのチャンネルもテレビショッピング一色になる。内容も多種多様で花盛りな様相を呈している。番組形式はさまざまだが、テンションはすべて高いことは共通している。当然と言えば当然か(笑)

今まではつまらないと思っていた。

しかしある時から、そのテンションの高さには違和感を覚えながらも『面白いと感じている自分』がいる。

出演している芸能人のオーバーアクションはお笑い番組を観ているような心地になる。司会者やバイヤーの褒めちぎり方も滑稽に見えて面白い。

それはなぜだろう？

と考えた時、あることに気づいた。それは１時間の番組の中で、商品説明や特徴の話がループしていることだ。さっきも同じ説明をし、デモンストレーションをしていたが、再び初めてするように説明やデモンストレーションを高いテンションで繰り返す様が滑稽で面白いのだ。途中から観た視聴者を考慮してのことだろうが、１時間の番組中に３回はそれを繰り返している。

それに気づいた時、テレビショッピングは自分にとって面白いコンテンツとなった。扱っている商品はどうでもよく、売らんかなとしている出演者、司会者、バイヤーたちのオーバーでわざとらしい振る舞いが面白くて仕方ない。いかにお得で安いか、数に限りがあるか、今から３０分以内なら云々と少し早口で煽り気味に終始展開するのもお馴染みだ。下手なバラエティー番組よりも面白いと思うことすらある。

少なくなった印象はあるが、番組に観覧に来ているおばちゃん連中のいちいち聞こえるわざとらしいどよめきと、司会者が価格を発表した時のオーバーな歓喜の声は鬱陶しさと滑稽さが入り混じった微妙な面白さを醸している。

失礼ではあるが『販売元の人の大根役者っぷり』は本当に面白い。例えば「２つで４,９８０円！」と言った後、(台本どおりに)出演者やスタッフに値切られ、迷った挙句に苦渋の決断をする演技がたまらなく面白い。予め３つで４,９８０円であることは打ち合わせ済みだったはずだ(笑)

またあるテレビショッピングでは、販売会社の社長自らが進行役として出演しているのだが、滑舌が悪い上に妙な合いの手が入るナレーションにはズッコケるようなお笑い番組を観ているようで愉快だ。テレビショッピングの新しい見方を発見して以来、愛すべき番組になった。

今夜はどんな商品でどんなリアクションが見られるのだろう(笑)
